Safety has been considered in all designs and all components (wooden timber sections and accessories and fixings) meet the stringent EN71 specifications for children's play equipment.

Timber
Action climbing frames use selected top grade pine from forests approved and managed under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification scheme (PEFC). The seasoned timber is machined, planed smooth with rounded edges and finished within 1mm tolerances. All fixing holes and nut recesses are pre-drilled, and then the timber is pressure treated to preserve its life, using a non- toxic chromium / cadmium / arsenic (CCA) free solution approved for children’s playground equipment. Substantial 70mm x 70mm timber sections are used for the frames and 70mm x 90mm timber is used for the swing arm.

IMPORTANT: Wood is a natural product and as such is subject to the influence of the moisture content of the air and ground. Sometimes cracks or splits may appear, but this will not result in weakening of structural stability. These cracks and splits are minimized by the machining into rectangular sections and are more common in round section timber. Knots and grain variations are a normal component of all timber Climbing Frames.

Components
Action limit the use of man made materials wherever possible within the design of their climbing frames. Every model combines a minimum of a heavy duty green wavy slide and swings (as appropriate) with wooden seats. Wooden roofs, polyhemp commando nets, wooden clatterbridges, wooden tunnels and assault courses are fitted as described to the various models. Action use high quality ASH hardwood rungs on their Monkey bars for nonslip all year round use. All necessary fittings, fasteners, and ropes are included and are either galvanized or stainless steel to prevent rust. The galvanized swing hangers have low noise nylon bearings and bolt through the swing arm.

Delivery
Delivery will be made on a 3 day service, following the day of order, from you the customer (working days only). You will receive a phone call from the delivery company to confirm the day of your delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer timed deliveries due to the size of the items. All climbing frames come flat packed in manageable sections, but due to the awkward size and shape of some components, please be willing to assist the carrier in taking such parts onto your property. Packages are labelled 1/9, 2/9 etc for easy checking. Please ensure you check your delivery on arrival and note any missing or damaged items on the delivery company’s paperwork. Please Note that no carrier will accept responsibility for damage found after their driver has left your home.

Installation and Assembly
Before purchasing and installing your climbing frame, measure your garden carefully. Add an additional unobstructed perimeter of 1.5m around the frame for safety and access with a clear zone of 2.5m in front and behind the swings. Climbing frames are large items and although it is possible for one person to assemble them on their own, we recommend two or more people. A detailed set of assembly instructions and even a drill bit for preparing screw holes is included with your frame. Your instructions and fixings are all included in a sealed silver foil pack. Please be careful when opening this pack as some parts are very small and are easily lost in grass; we recommend you cut open the platform pack wrapping in such a way as to provide a surface on which to lay out the fixing components. You will need some tools including 13mm and 17mm box or socket spanners, a cordless drill with Phillips screwdriver, level and tape measure. Build times are set out in the table below, but are guidelines only and assume a reasonably level and clear area. You may find it easier to make up the tower components horizontally before raising them upright. Most of the Action climbing frames allow you to arrange the components in more than one configuration to fit the space you have available in your garden. We have provided plans with the dimensions of the various components to allow you to draw up alternative layouts. Please check with us for safety reasons if you wish to vary the layout from the configuration shown to retain maximum stability.

Warranty
Action offer a 10 year guarantee against rot and insect infestation on all timber sections. All ropes, accessories, slides and workmanship are guaranteed for 1 year subject to correct installation and normal domestic use. Action products are CE marked and meet and exceed all British and European Toy Safety standards BS 5665 / EN71. We strongly recommend that all fixings (nuts and bolts) are checked at least annually for tightness and all ropes and other fasteners are checked for decay and general condition. Replace any worn items immediately. Please note we reserve the right to alter sizes and specifications without prior notice as part of on going product development and improvements.
